Current book you are reading and what you love about it Outliers: The Story of Success written by Malcolm Gladwell. In Outliers, Gladwell examines the factors that contribute to high levels of success. To support his thesis, he examines the causes of why the majority of Canadian ice hockey players are born in the first few months of the calendar year, how Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates achieved his extreme wealth, how The Beatles became one of the most successful musical acts in human history, how cultural differences play a large part in perceived intelligence and rational decision making, and how two people with exceptional intelligence, Christopher Langan and J. Robert Oppenheimer , end up with such vastly different fortunes. Throughout the publication, Gladwell repeatedly mentions the “10,000-Hour Rule”, claiming that the key to success in any field is, to a large extent, a matter of practicing a specific task for a total of around 10,000 hours
Books you enjoyed reading the most 1) BUSINESS AT THE SPEED OF THOUGHT By Bill Gates 2) The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Centuryby Thomas Friedman that analyzes globalization, primarily in the early 21st century. The title is a metaphor for viewing the world as a level playing fieldin terms of commerce, where all competitors have an equal opportunity. As the first edition cover illustration indicates, the title also alludes to the perceptual shift required for countries, companies and individuals to remain competitive in a global market where historical and geographical divisions are becoming increasingly irrelevant.3)THE GAME CHANGER – How You Can Drive Revenue and Profit Growth with Innovation by A.G. Lafley and Ram Charan – Through eye-opening stories A. G. Lafley and Ram Charan show how P&G and companies such as Honeywell, Nokia, LEGO, GE, HP, and DuPont have become game-changers
Software company you admire and why SAP. I admire SAP most because of its versatility of solutions, reliability of delivery and commitment of support line.SAP is the supreme package software as of now who has matured its product for its quality and support line over a period of time. It would be incomplete to praise one ERP software package unless we appreciate the Systems Integrator also. I also admire IBM as the systems Integrator because of their reliability and quality of delivery. One can depend on IBM while implementing SAP. It is always safe to have the partnership with SAP and IBM while creating the IT enabled business environment..
Hardware company your admire and why IBM. I admire IBM because of the best in class of quality Hardware and commitment of delivery and support.
IT personality you admire and why Steven Paul “Steve” Jobs was an American businessman and technology visionary. I personally admire Jobs. He is best known as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. The success of products and services, provided several years of stable financial returns, and propelled Apple to become the world’s most valuable publicly traded company in 2011. The reinvigoration of the company is regarded as one of the greatest turnarounds in business history. All of these were feasible through Jobs attitude to business and technology as expressed, “And no, We don’t know where it will lead, We just know there’s something much bigger than any of us here “, to achieve the excellence.
Your best moment in your career till date Most of my career I worked for the MNC’s like Glaxo , Pfizer, etc in their Indian subsidiaries where in you need to follow the agreement and policies worked out in the global head quarter. Very few occasions only I got the opportunity of contributing in the formulation. There was a long cherished dream in my mind to lead the same at the global headquarter. I got the enormous pleasure when I could set up the global IT head quarter in India for Torrent Pharmaceuticals through leading the same from the front. All the subsidiaries located in America, Europe and Asia is connected to the global IT hub located in India. Entire business applications were delivered and supported from India. This happened to be the key component for the growth of the company. First country was connected through centralised IT Governance, WAN (VPN) connectivity, SAP, field force automation and messaging was Germany- February 2006. That was the best moment in my career. There on rest of the countries followed the suit and still it is continuing.
Your best moment in personal life Travelling all around Europe along with my wife.

Resolution of the challenges compels innovation. The result is immediately visible – tangible as well as intangible and brings out enormous pleasure. It is my passion not mere a job , so it comes out always with flying colours.
