At the current assignment, in charge of IT Infrastructure & Technology Project Delivery / Strategy, Vendor Alliance, New Innovation, IT Procurement, New technology evaluation / Architecture, and IT Centre of Excellence.
Associated with the Essar Group since January 1999, and has been responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development across all areas of Information Technology. He has rightly been the company top technology executive, playing an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth.
Is the principal owner of ESSAR Group Enterprise Architecture Board – IT Infrastructure & Technology and acting as Chairman –Global Technology Committee. He heads the IT Center of Excellence that is responsible for new technology evaluation, Innovation and project rollout at Essar. Recent drive includes complete ownership of business transformation through IT solutions and Innovations. Also leads IT Strategy managementacross the group and also has resulted into several successful M&A assignments at global level.

|Gadgets you love the most and why||Apple Devices for the innovation that is built in them for making them as simplistic as possible for the common man. It does not take rocket science for a normal person to figure out the iOS devices and become proficient in them. I believe that is should be the fundamental building stone of all technologies.The penetration of the technologies of today and the future be it a mobile device, a social media platform or ecommerce application will be the ability of people to use the same with simplicity and without any hand holding.|

|Current book you are reading and what you love about it||I am presently reading a Book called “Raving Fans” which is the improving the Customer Selling experience.|
|Books you enjoyed reading the most||I enjoy books that give insight into life of the life of great personalities and their struggles with challenges and how they overcame them to achieve success. I am also a fan of books like “Five Point Someone” which take a light humor filled look at life which is something that we can relate to in our lives.
I like to spend a large part of my reading time in going through Magazine which are on Technology based themes. I am an avid reader of these magazine and like to keep myself updated on the trends in Technology in both retail and corporate domains.

|IT personality you admire and why||Mr. Steve Jobs. I am truly a hardcore follower of Steve Jobs by virtue of his ability to transform innovations. He had spearhead Apple with his vision and propagate innovations through Apple devices for end customers. He has been the patron for Apple’s all IT innovations. His span of associating with Apple justified each and every wonder that Apple released in terms of devices in past 40 years. I wish to render similar innovative skills across within my deliverables with the uniqueness that Steve did during his tenure and lifespan|
|Your best moment in your career till date||The day I was designated as CTO of Essar Group. It was a culmination of the hard work that I had put in for a continuous span of 14 years in Essar which took me from being a systems engineer to the CTO of the Entire Group.I was also a rewarding experience for my transformation across the various roles that I had performed over length of my career in Essar and for the success that I had achieved in these endeavors.|

|Movies You Like||Transformer series of movies. I generally like movies where technology has enabled breakthrough in the movies have been presented to the audience. I have been captivated by James Cameron movies like Terminator, Avatar, Sanctum, etc.|
